5 Proven Steps to Natural Acne Scar Removal
The fact is, you can remove acne scars - even ones you've had for years - and that you can do so
without spending a bunch of money!
  • Acne scars can be a plague for people long after their actual acne outbreaks have subsided. For the majority of acne scar sufferers, there are two prevailing mindsets.
  • First, that acne scars will just never go away and there is nothing to be done about them.
  • Secondly – that acne scars can be removed, but only through very expensive procedures such as laser treatment, dermatologists visits, and over-the-top expensive creams, ointments, masks, and other “solutions”.
  • Regardless of which mindset you have, the fact is that you CAN remove acne scars – even ones you’ve had for years – and that you can do so without spending a bunch of money.
  • In this article we’re going to look at five proven ways you can naturally remove acne scars. Most of these methods can be done with items you probably already have around the house.
  • Let’s get started, shall we?
  • Step One - Exfoliate With Baking Soda
  • Grandmothers everywhere have lauded the multiple uses of baking soda for years – it’s toothpaste, it’s an antacid, it’ll get that wine stain out of the carpet, it’ll deodorize your refrigerator, it’ll make all of your wildest hopes and dreams come true (well… maybe not that last one).
  • Well, your grandmother was right – baking soda is pretty awesome and does a lot of amazing things. It’s also really, really good for your skin and works as an excellent exfoliating wash.
  • Baking soda can minimize the appearance of acne scars and all you have to do is mix a single teaspoon of it with two teaspoons of water. This will form a liquid paste.
  • Next, apply the paste on your face and – using light, circular motions – rub the concoction into your skin. The best thing to do is concentrate on areas of scarring and to do this consistently for about two minutes.
  • After that, rinse with warm water and pat dry.
Step Two - Make a Sandalwood Facemask
Sandalwood is an Indian tree that yields a wonderfully fragrant, pleasant smelling timber and oil. Although it has been used for years as a perfume or an incense, it has also been known to Indian Vedas as a skin healing solution for generations.
Creating a sandalwood facemask not only helps reduce acne scarring, it’s also incredibly easy. All you need to do is mix one tablespoon of sandalwood powder with a couple of drops of rosewater (or milk). This will form a paste.
Next, apply it to the affected areas and leave it on for at least thirty minutes before rinsing.
Step Three - Use a Derma Roller

I’ve been helping women with skin care issues for a long time, and although certain advice (such as baking soda face scrubs) are fairly well known, derma rollers are something barely anybody knows about and it’s a real shame, because this incredibly simple tool is largely responsible for 80% of the success I see with women looking to get rid of acne scarring, get rid of wrinkles, increase the elasticity of their skin, and get that youthful glow you always hear about.

So what is it? It’s pretty simple really – it’s a small roller comprised of hundreds of tiny little needles that you roll over your skin.

Okay, so I know what you may be thinking – “Why would I want to roll sharp needles all over my skin! That doesn’t seem like it’ll help.”

In order to get a better idea of the benefits of a derma roller, check out Mariah McLean’s review and demonstration of it:

Suffice it to say, the derma roller essentially pierces down to the dermis layer of skin, which stimulates collagen and fibroblast proliferation. This causes new skin to grow within the surrounding areas, smoothing over old scars, creating a youthful radiance.

This process, although simple, has stunning results getting rid of – not only scars – but also uneven skin tone, sagging skin, wrinkles and fine lines, large pores, and hyperpigmentation.

Although there are a variety of companies out there producing derma rollers, my favorite is Petunia Skincare’s derma roller, which comes in sizes 1.5mm and 1.0mm (each with 540 needles total). We have a special promo going with them – you can get 20% off your purchase by clicking this link here.

Step Four - Use a Vitamin C Serum

You hear about the powerful effects of vitamin C all the time – it boosts the immune system, it reduces your risk of cancer, it helps eliminate free radicals from the body, and the list continues.

Again, like many of the methods on this post, many people don’t think to put it on their face (which is understandable).

However, vitamin C serums help take all the health benefits of this vitamin and super-charge it for your skin. It will help fade spots and scars from acne (as well as sun spots), refine skin texture, restore the elasticity of your skin, and even out any discoloration you may have.

Again, my recommended brand for Vitamin C serum is Petunia Skin Care’s serum, because, not only does it contain organic and natural ingredients, they are a vegan and cruelty free brand. I’m a big fan of all-natural products.

If you want a little more information on its benefits, Channon Rose recently reviewed a Vitamin C serum as part of her skincare routine and made a video about it:

Vitamin C is one of the best natural nutrient for your skin.

Step Four - Moisturize With Honey

Sticky, sweet, delicious honey has been used for thousands of years as an additive to a variety of foods, but its unique antibacterial properties also aid in reducing skin inflammation and redness while simultaneously smoothing the skin.

However, it’s important to note that you shouldn’t just go get any honey from the store. You need to find raw or Manuka honey, as it is the most effective.  For less money than it would take to see a dermo

Simply use a q-tip to dab the honey directly onto your face. This will not only help moisturize your skin, it will reduce inflammation. All of these methods work together to help reduce, or even completely eliminate acne scarring.

For less money than it would take to see a dermatologists or do one session of laser scar removal, you can use all-natural products in your very own home to not only remove your acne scars, but the overall state of your skin in every way.

So, don’t despair! Go to the store, grab some baking soda, honey, and sandalwood and head over to Petunia Skincare for your Derma Roller and Vitamin C Serum. Once you implement this daily skin-care regimen, you’re going to see some amazing results and get a big boost of self-confidence.
